The 'Shelter House of Cards' competition is now closed. Thank you to every one who voted for me. I deeply appreciate it. Although I feel there was a huge amount of fabulous work from fantastic artist, I was pleased to be a part of it and receive more than double votes in favour of 'Love it' rather than the 'Hate it'. Once again thank you to any one for voting and well done to everyone that took part.
I shall soon be back with a quality post! This week has been slightly manic with my 20th and my sisters 18th all within the space of a week!

Word on the Street
If I could name any street I was brought up on, it has to be the Sesame Street. I still remember the daily lunchtime adventures with the whole gang, who over time taught me lessons on cookie munching (who else but the cookie monster), counting sheep to sleep (count Dracula) and to pronounce my 'Z's like an American. As it turns out however my upbringing has taught me well, as my Sesame Street chums have a whole new bunch to contend with. The likes of Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Diane Von Furstenberg, Kate and Laura Mulleavy (Rodarte), Oscar de la Renta, Thakoon Panichgul, Toys and Vera Wang have all taken part in a celebratory photoshoot for Harpers Bazaar to mark the 'Streets' 40th birthday.
Thanks to this lovely surprise the puppets aren't the only one smiling like a Muppet!

Just a brief teaser of the new book from Teen Vogue. The book is not yet available and will be released in October, but that doesn't stop me from the excitement of getting my hands on a copy. If the quotes above are anything to go for, and my knowledge of Teen Vogues pop fresh shoots, this book shall not disappoint!

The Regular

Ah yes by now you will either be delighted by the amount I tend to whitter on about Tim Walker or pulling your hair out due to my obsession. Well for those who get a fleeting feeling with every new photograph, I just found a beauty! The above is a recent photograph I spied on Coca Rocha's blog.
Tim Walker ceases to amaze me with his use of props as all the items in this image - green house, ladder e.c.t are all miniature. The photograph captures a real magical creation without the help of a mouse on a computer screen. Want proof? Look no further then the (rather unflattering) photograph of me at ShowStudio's new shop (London).

Sometimes I have to ask...

because as you know these Shona Heath for Tim Walker props are as close to essential items as I can tell.
I am longing to take lavish photos in the store cupboard (first photo) but as I think this is the new Showstudio shop in London a sneaky mission might be on the cards! Do you think they will notice when I wonder in with a model clad in a most unusual outfit then pretend we are just tourists that have stumbled in?
*edit* I just thought of something. Imagine if they made miniature replica props from Tim Walker photographs that you could buy (for a small price that I could afford) and then you could build your own mini set! I'm thinking lollipop faces, planes, toy soldiers, balloons, giant gloves, lion tailed chairs among many others. Good Idea?
